And the Best Dressed Stars at the MTV Movie Awards Were …

The MTV Movie Awards red carpet was filled with menswear-inspired looks, peplum and lots of bling, but to us, three stars stood out amongst the sea of mini-dresses:
Emma Stone. Has Emma ever not looked awesome on a red carpet? The Amazing Spider-Man star looked chic and adorable (who knew that was possible?) in an ivory bubble skirt and a peplum black top, both by Martin Grant. Her swept-back blonde hair, nude-and-black ankle-strap Brian Atwood heels and bright pink lips kept the look fun and fresh.

Elizabeth Banks. And most unexpected goes to … Elizabeth Banks! The Hunger Games actress arrived in a striking cutout Ellie Saab jumpsuit, on-trend pointy-toe Ruthie Davis heels and a topknot. We love that she skipped the popular mini and chose something cool, edgy and sexy.
Kristen Stewart. Kristen has been killing it on the red carpet lately. She wowed us in her gorgeous gowns at the Cannes Film Festival and during her Snow White and the Huntsman press tour, and she kept the fashion surprises coming last night. Her funky silver Guishem mini with yellow-and-purple bursts was the perfect pick for the fun awards show.

The Best Shoes From the Spring 2012 Shows

We’ve scoured the Fall 2012 collections for the most amazing shoes, and it was easy, because there were plenty. The best part? Footwear options for Fall 2012 are a lot more reasonable than their Spring 2012 counterparts. (Remember those 6 inch Versace lucite wedges?)
Fall 2012 saw lots of wide heels and mary-janes on the runway, and sometimes both simultaneously–like at Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Marni. Knee-high black boots ruled at Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Givenchy, and Rick Owens, and ladylike pumps could be found at Lanvin, Nina Ricci, and Jil Sander. Of course, if you’re looking for something crazy, look no further than Alexander McQueen’s heel-less fur shoes. Impractical, but so lovely.
